Martha Stewart's dog cookie cutters are just delightful and are unique to collectors. Featuring cut-outs of 14 of the most popular breeds, divided into two sets. The original retail price for each set was below $100 but they are selling today on eBay for over $200, because of their rarity and collectibility. Below are examples of the two sets. So much fun and so unique! They look too good to eat!

Etiquette Wednesday

I've decided on making Wednesday a new theme. Last year, I had "Wednesday Dog Treats." But I've been doing some thinking and I've had many people ask me about the proper etiquette for such things as address correspondence, letter writing, and invitation etiquette etc.

I would love to hear if you have any questions or comments about etiquette or have had a situation where you'd like to know the correct way it should be handled. And of course I'll get some help from my good friend Emily Post.

I'll start off with a pet related question:

Q: Our next-door neighbor’s dog uses our back yard as his bathroom. How can I get her to clean up after him?

A: Ask her! This is a reasonable request. Pick up the phone or stop her for a chat the next time you see her. “Jane, Buster has been leaving presents for us in our yard. Could you please pick up after him or keep him in your yard? It’s hard to avoid his messes, plus they’re killing our grass! Thanks!’’ The right tone can go a long way toward achieving the result you are hoping for. Thanking your neighbor for her help and asking nicely help her to remember that this is indeed a reasonable request coming from a reasonable person.

Valentine's cards are here! Can you believe it's exactly one month away from Valentine's day?

I originally wasn't going to offer any Valentines cards, but after doing some research I found that Valentine's cards are the second most popular card to give, the first being Christmas. And I also had some really cute ideas for these seasonal cards.

I'll also be adding some adorable return address labels soon, think cupcakes, hearts, and cute dogs with polka-dot scarfs and heart sweaters!

Back in November I donated a large gift basket with a few Lydia & Pugs items and a gift certificate for Custom Stationery and matching return Address Labels for the Canine for Companions for Independence Tales & Tails Gala.

Mary from Ocoee was the auction winner. She requested a custom illustration of her two dogs, 9-year-old Chihuahua Elmo and CCI released 6-year-old Yellow Lab Rocky. She wanted the illustration to look similar to the photo she provided.

After sending her proofs to Mary, she absolutely loved the final design!

Matching Calling Cards & Note Cards

This Custom Stationery design made me feel like it was Spring! Oh, how I wish it was! Melissa over at Southern Vogue wanted her silhouette similar to her inspiration picture, dressed in her Alice + Olivia Garden Dress. And in case some of you are wondering...yes this dress was worn by Leighton Meester in a Gossip Girl episode.

Melissa is fashionably dressed in the summery Alice + Olivia dress, wide pink belt and is accessorized with her pink headband bow and ruffle wedges. Her Chihuahua Carraway is also coordinating with her pink ribbon bow around her neck.

Melissa also ordered matching Calling Cards featuring half her silhouette and of course Carraway. Her Calling Cards had the option of putting up to 6 lines of any contact information.

This was a really fun design to do and Melissa was a pleasure to work with. I know she is over the moon with her design!
