Monogram Swap

I am so excited to announce I am participating in a Monogram Swap with Jewish Girl in Wasp's Clothing. It's my first swap, so I am really excited.

If you don't know what I am talking about, it's basically a swap between people. You make or buy something personalized with a monogram and has to be a certain dollar amount.

My partner for the swap is Maggie at Black Labs And Lily. I am excited to work some personalized monogram stationery for her black lab! I know she will love it. Her stationery will look similar to the monogrammed one on the left.

I also signed up for another swap through Monograms And Manicures blog.

I am thinking of having a swap soon of my own!

Dog Dress Update!

I have completed the UCF Dog Dress! And I think it looks fabulous! UCF's colors are gold and black, if you didn't know already, so I added some gold rhinestone bling around gold belt and around the collar. Also, in the middle has the letter "UCF" monogrammed in gold surrounding black fabric. I know Ariel the mini Jack Russell will look lovely in it!

I tried the dress on Hera just to see what it would looks like, a bit snug, but you'll get the idea.

I'll be posting a listing on my Lydia & Pugs Etsy if anyone is interested in other College/University teams.

Who say's you pooch can't have school spirit? GO KNIGHTS!

Top Dog Week

I usually watch Live with Regis & Kelly each day. I've been watching this show since I was a kid, since Kathie Lee was on. It's probably one of my favorite morning talk shows.

This week on the show is Top Dog Week, where they will be featuring amazing dogs each day, as well as video and pictures.

Today they showed 3 really cute pugs tilting their heads on video. If you have time this week, check out the show!

Happy Monday! Wow, it's the last week of July already?

Dress Up Your Dog

A friend of a friend of mine, Michele, has asked if I had made dog outfit's before. And as a matter of fact I had... My mom and I created many beautiful dress designs for Lydia when she was still alive.

One in particular is my favorite, her "Pug Sock Hop" dress

Complete with a pink poodle on her pink felt skirt! Every dog should have one of these! And she even had a rhinestone belt loop! I really loved it! We have since not had the courage to put it on Hera yet. We feel it's really Lydia's dress. And she wore it so beautifully too!

Back to the story, so Michele wanted a dog dress for her Jack Russell from our former college alumni: University of Central Florida. Go Knights! I am so excited and thrilled to design a cheerleader type dog dress. I know it will be super cute when I am done with it.

Here is a sketch of the UCF dog dress:

Here is a photo of Michele's mini Jack Russell, named Ariel:

I can't wait to get started on this project! I will post photos after completion. What a great way to show your school spirit!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Pink Pugs and Patterns

Lined Envelopes is a great way to add personality to your stationery, and it's classy too! I loved how these pink pug cards turned out. The splash of pattern adds a pop to the envelope!

And while I was creating the cards and envelopes, I had to capture a picture of Hera sitting on her royal chair. What a princess!

Summer Pugs

Hope you are having a great Tuesday!

Summer Pugs, (the book), is a story about pugs named Mason and Lizzie who spend three seasons a year in Manhattan island, and their summer in Cape Cod. I thought this little book was just charming. And maybe even a great summer read.

Check out the Summer Pugs website, for some great pictures, links, and more info.

They even have recipes on their webpage, such as Carrot "Kake" and Chicken Soup. It really looks like a lot of fun for you dog and it cools them off too!

Perfect for those hot summer days in Florida!

Labradoodle

Martha, the winner of my last Personalized Stationery Give Away wanted a Labradoodle, a dog breed I had never heard of before. But Martha sent me a few pictures of her beloved pet, which is a mix between a golden Labrador Retriever and a poodle (see below).

After looking at her photos, I sketched and water colored a very cute Labradoodle dog!
Here is Martha's personalized stationery final product! I think it turned out great!
