Pug O ween, from the DFW Pug Rescue was the biggest and best ever!

They raised almost $10kand had 445 people and 285 pugs! (that's a lot of pugs!)

Keep Your Pup Safe this Halloween

Here are a few Doggy Halloween tips from Dogster:

1. Don’t leave your dog outside. Even if you have a fenced yard, bring your dog inside where it is safe.

2. Keep your dog restrained. If your dog is timid or scared, or if he tends to love people a little too much, it is best to put him in a separate room away from the front door to limit his excitability.

3. Reassure your dog. The best thing you can do for your dog when he is feeling unsettled by Halloween activities is to act as you normally would.

4. Have your dog get used to costumes. Your dog may see his family members as strangers once they don their Halloween costumes.

5. Keep candy away from your dog. Many candies-especially chocolate-are toxic to dogs.

Custom Design of Pepper & Zoe

I've had the pleasure to work with Angela at A And B Originals and The Pet Boutique. She wanted custom illustration of her two pups, Pepper and Zoe.

She sent me pictures of both of them. One picture in particular turned out to be perfect for her custom design. Angela requested both Christmas Round Labels and "everyday" Round Labels.

After sketching and rendering the dogs, the illustration was complete. I think the designs turned out fabulous! And I know she is thrilled with the final product! It was a pleasure to work with you Angela, thanks again!

Pug Silhouette Gift Bags

Since I have be debuting Lydia & Pugs Christmas items all week. I figured to debut the Lydia & Pugs pug silhouette gift bags.

Each set of 3 bags is uniquely designed. Each pug silhouette is decked out in either green argyle, red/green stripes or red stripes and accessorized with holly leaves or a plaid scarf. Simply adorable!

Pet of the Week

A few days ago, my mom and I sent in some photos of Hera to our local Animal Clinic. You may remember this post, with her new pink diamond toy. Last night, to our surprise, we got an email from our vet, Dr. Hart, telling us he loved the pictures of Hera. So we looked at the website and found out....

Hera is Pet of the Week!

It says, "Hera loves to play and has a great personality!"

We not only get recognized, but we also get a $10 voucher off our next pet bill! Woohoo!

Dress Your Pooch: Labels

I recently got an order from B is for Brown for some personalized address labels. She said her mom recently got a new doggy, Izzy Belle, a Morkie, which is a Yorkie and Maltese. This little pup is so adorable.

I didn't have a sketch of a Morkie in my library, so I custom sketched and rendered a little girl Morkie and of course added a pink bow.

I think the final product turned out great! I know her mother will just love it!
