Have a mentioned not only do I love paper, but I love the handwritten letter and envelope, especially if it's beautiful calligraphy script. Did I also mention, I won a handwriting award back in 1st grade? That's right, I had the best handwriting in all of 1st grade. Okay, enough bragging, haha. Anyhow, I've done some calligraphy for my co-workers wedding not too long ago. And I am starting to get back to it. I found these inspiring handwritten cards in my favorite salmon color. So beautiful!Ace of Cakes, my new favorite show. I find it inspiring to see how other creative minds think, especially being the product is edible. I would love to make a cake like this someday!

Cherry Pug Apron

I've added a new apron design to Lydia & Pugs, this time a full apron that ties in the front and the back. I really love this design so much and the pink and reds are just so bright and cheery. I made the ties long enough for any size person and also added the flower applique for the collar of the cherry pug.

Perfect for a gift or to keep for yourself!

I've been thinking of making fall or Christmas inspired pug/dog aprons as well. Everyone is always cooking during the holidays. What do you think?

Pooch on Sofa

I created a custom order for a client with her chocolate lab. She wanted a relaxed yet preppy look with her favorite dog her chocolate lab, Sandy, but also wanted it to be personalized with her name. She is a big fan of the preppy pink and green, so I included both pink and green envelopes in her stationery set.

The final product couldn't be more perfect! And I just love the ornate sofa the doggy is sitting on!

Four New Dog Breeds

I thought Lydia & Pugs needed a few more doggy friends added to the already growing dog breeds available. So I added a Fox Terrier, St. Bernard, Siberian Husky, and Doberman. All sketched, then water-colored by myself. I think they look delightful!

Here are the current breeds available: Beagle, Black Lab, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Bulldog, Chihuahua, Dachshund, Dalmatian, French Bulldog, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Great Dane, Greyhound, Jack Russell, Labradoodle, Poodle, Pug (pawn & black), Schnauzer, Scottie, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier

Lydia & Pugs Tote Bags

I've been waiting with bated breath to reveal my new tote bag creations from Lydia & Pugs! I absolutely love these cute cotton canvas totes with pug silhouettes.

Each tote is different with a pug applique from colorful patterned prints, such as pink and green stripes, green houndstooth, bright floral patterns and more. The pug applique is fused to the tote bag and zig-zag stitched around for extra durability.

The tote bag makes a great gym bag, grocery bag, or gift. I can also customize the tote bag with any other dog breed silhouette.

Give Away Personalized Design

I've been working with Heidi from Bella Serenity, she was the last winner of my Personalized Stationery Give Away.

She has a young girl pug and she also has a cat, named Bella. She wanted to incorporate both her pug and her cat into the stationery. I had never used a cat before in my designs, but thought it would be a good challenge. I think the final design turned really great and I know Heidi will love her personalized stationery!

Lydia & Pugs Apron

Introducing Lydia & Pugs Aprons! I designed this apron a few weeks ago. It's a vintage inspired half apron featuring a floral pug applique with a shimmery flower applique design. Complete with surrounding pink rick rack trim.

Lydia & Pugs Snail Mail Form

Don't you just love the idea of getting a written note or letter in the mail? I know I always get excited when I receive something in the mail, especially if it's from a friend or a if it's a package, or best of all a coupon.

I came up with an idea from one of my blog friends, Nautical by Nature, and I absolutely thought it was a wonderful concept. Lydia & Pugs will now have a Snail Mail Sign-up Form, you can click here or you can click on the left hand side of my blog page (with the pug in the mailbox), to sign up for snail mail, quarterly postcards, and the occasional email.I really love this idea, and I know everyone always loves getting a surprise card in the mail. I will be sending out a mailer soon, so sign up! :)

Monogram Swap Re-Cap & Hera the Pug

I received my Monogram Swap item from my partner, Black Labs And Lilly. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect gift. A small Boat & Tote bag from llbean in Aqua! It even has a zip top! I already have a few large llbean totes, but not yet a small, perfect for my growing tote bag collection.

Here's some pictures of Hera. This is what she does at night. She has to have her binky toy, which is like a combination of an octopus and a bear, I guess. It came with her when we adopted her and she loves this thing, she puts it in her mouth like a pacifier at night and then falls asleep. It's actually really cute :)
