I found this delightful book called, Pet Projects: The Animal Knits Bible. It's a how-to book about knitting special outfits for your pet, not just your pooch but for your hamster and even your turtle.

I love all the photos by Diana Miller, the lighting is perfect and the pets are adorable with their knitted clothes.

Think Pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. And last year I walked in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in my local area.

Not only was it my opportunity to join my community to fight back against breast cancer, it is a way to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to help those facing the disease and save more lives.

This year, I am taking part in the walk, on October 31, but I am also selling "pink" inspired items from Lydia & Pugs, in which some of the proceeds will be donated to my Making Strides page.

Customized Tote & Apron

A few days ago I had the pleasure to make a custom apron and tote for Martha over at Comically Flawed. Martha has a labradoodle named Charley and a Manx cat named Abigail, both of which she wanted on her apron, in preppy pink and greens. Martha selected the perfect pink and green pattern for Charley's silhouette and a solid pink of Abigail's silhouette. I had never made a apron with 2 pet silhouettes before, but I really think the apron is adorable! It will be perfect to use for baking and cooking Holiday season.

The tote bag is for Martha's sister who owns a fully grown male Corgi and a new puggy Corgi. Martha selected both fabrics and I added white rick-rack for the dogs collars.

Wednesday Dog Treats: Football Season Edition

Fall is Coming...

It's that time of year again, when the leaves change color, it gets a little cooler outside, and your dog might just need a sweater before heading outside.

I've added a new 'Happy Halloween' note cards to Lydia & Pugs, and also a new section called: Halloween. I am thinking about making some fall address labels, as well, which can be for either Halloween, Thanksgiving or Fall.

I've also added a new dog breed, upon special request, a Pekingese! Which is pictured in the first note card above.

Pug Rescue Donations

A few Pug Rescues have come to me saying they loved the items in my shop and wondered if I wouldn't mind donating to their fall Pug Festivals. Of course, I couldn't say no.

I thought about what I should donate for each auction, and I decided a Pug Silhouette Tote, who doesn't need another tote bag? And 2 sets of stationery, one with a Lydia & Pugs original: Pug O Ween Note Cards, and the other "I Heart My Pug" Note Cards.

The first picture is the DFW Pug Rescue, who has their 13th Annual Pug-O-Ween each year.

The second donation is to the Ohio Pug Rescue for their annual Pug Fair.

I am still sending out another donation later this week, I'll keep you post on that one as well. I am so excited to a part of such worthy causes, I know my donations will do wonders for these little creatures.

Pug-O-Ween!

I've been working on putting together Lydia & Pugs donations for many different Pug Fests in October. So I've created a custom designed Halloween Pug card or should I say "Pug-o-ween" card, to donate, along with other Lydia & Pugs goodies.

Delightful Doggy Aprons

Happy Labor Day! I hope you all are having a wonderful day relaxing, grilling bbq, and spending time with family and friends today (and also you dog)! As summer unofficially comes to a close, you can always count on bright colorful patterns and designs from Lydia & Pugs.

I've added two new aprons to Lydia & Pugs. The first is almost a Lilly look-a-like, with the bright floral pattern, with matching pockets, and pink and green surrounding trim. Also, a pink flower applique with teal rhinestone on the pug, for extra pop of color.

The second is a Pug Cupcake Apron, so adorable. I really thought it would be perfect for a young child, however, I would really like it for myself. Pink pug silhouette with a cupcake rhinestone applique, goes perfect with sequin pink pockets.

If your not interested in the pug silhouette I can gladly use any other dog silhouette, just ask!

Lydia & Pugs Ponytail Holders

I am so excited about this new product being offered at Lydia & Pugs! I simply love these little ponytail holders! I wish they were around when I was a kid.

Each set comes with two ponytail holders made with 3/4" fabric covered buttons. You have the choice of either a colored pug silhouette, or a "Dress Your Pooch" silhouette. Both are attached to small brown Goody Ouchless elastic bands.

Also, all Ponytail holders come on a simple hand-cut Lydia & Pugs card for easy gift giving.

New Dog Breeds Again!

Many of you had responded to my recent post about adding new dog breeds. I have listened to my faithful followers, and have added 3 new breeds!

The Italian Greyhound, Cardigan Welsch Corgi, and the King Charles Spaniel! All are now available in my personalized stationery collections on Lydia & Pugs.
